Terms and Conditions

  1. SIZING AND MEASUREMENTS

The customer understands and accepts that the measurements given are correct and the layout displayed is final. The client acknowledges the design is subject to site verification. In the occurrence where sizes may need to be adjusted due to site conditions, the client will be responsible for paying all additional fees and costs. If the client wishes to change any details in the plan, the client must submit a change order in writing via email, text, or in person. Before an order is placed, customers must confirm that all measurements are correct and accurate. Cabinets Core does not take responsibility for any mistakes the client made in someone else’s measurements.

Customers are advised to use a professional to properly measure for design to ensure that the kitchen is designed accurately and professionally. Here at Cabinets Core, we offer professional measurement services for free. If a client receives measurement services from Cabinets Core, Cabinets Core will take responsibility for all measurements. This includes walls, windows, appliances, sinks, electrical, ceiling, and everything else on our “Client Measurements Checklist”. If the customer does not provide us with needed information or does not communicate any changes to the space, we are not responsible for issues that arise as a result.

  1. PICKUP/DELIVERY DATES

If a customer does not pick up material 1 week after the scheduled date, or if the customer changes the delivery date to more than 1 week after what is initially agreed upon, Cabinets Core will charge a $50 fee for every overdue business day. Following this, the client will not be able to pick up the product until the storage fee is paid. If an emergency occurs and customers must hold off pickup or delivery, please contact our office and we will discuss our options. You can change delivery/pickup up to 1 week before the delivery date. Pick-up/delivery dates may not be changed for custom kitchens. If a customer pushes off delivery/pickup for more than 90 days, Cabinets Core has the right to discard the product. If a customer cancels delivery on the date of the scheduled delivery date, delivery fee will be charged twice.

  1. PAYMENT

Payment must be made at the time of order unless otherwise specified. Cabinets Core will begin working on the project once payment has been made. We accept cash, check, credit, debit, and ACH transfers. Customers will be charged a 3% card processing fee if they choose to pay with a debit or credit card.

  1. PRODUCT

The signature of this form means the customer is familiar with the product. The customer is educated on the material and is satisfied with what they have seen. It is the customer’s responsibility to understand what they are purchasing. If a customer is unsatisfied with a product when it is delivered, Cabinets Core holds no responsibility.

*Disclaimer: Each cabinet comes separately. If a customer orders a vanity that is built up of separate pieces, it will come in separate pieces and not as one full piece.

  1. DELIVERY

To ensure a smooth delivery process, it is essential that the customer must be present when we deliver cabinets to check the products and sign off on the material slip. If a customer is not there at the time of delivery, Cabinets Core takes no responsibility for damages or complaints about the products. If no representative is available, Cabinets Core cannot proceed with the delivery of the products. If we are unable to reach you, we will leave the premises and reschedule the delivery, which will incur a fee. Deliveries will be made to the garage or the first floor of the property. Please note that an additional fee will apply for deliveries requiring navigation of 3 or more stairs, whether to an upper floor, front entrance, or basement. We kindly request that you inform us in advance of any such conditions to avoid potential rescheduling fees. Delivery will be rescheduled and the delivery fee will be charged again if we arrive to deliver and find such conditions that were not made known to Cabinets Core.

We encourage you to discuss any special instructions with our team prior to the delivery. If a customer requests delivery beyond the initially agreed location, our team will temporarily leave the site until proper arrangements are confirmed.

Delivery fees may vary based on location. We ask that you inspect all items upon delivery. Items will remain in their original packaging unless other arrangements have been made, and we are not responsible for the disposal of packaging materials. Please check for each cabinet, shelf, and accessory piece carefully to ensure that you are receiving all the material.

  1. 3-D DESIGN

The color and style of the design will not match the exact color of the cabinets. If a customer would like to see the exact color, they will need to order a sample ($25) or visit the showroom to see the cabinet in person. Additionally, the inclusion of countertops, handles, and flooring in our design renders does not mean that they are included in the quoted price. We understand that these elements play a crucial role in the overall aesthetic of the space and are often included in our presentations to provide a complete visual representation of the design. We highly encourage our customers to carefully review the detailed breakdown of the quoted price, which clearly outlines the specific inclusions and exclusions of our services. If there are any uncertainties or questions regarding the quote, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team for clarification.

*Layouts are provided after payment is made. If a customer would like a layout before payment, there will be a $150 deductible charge. This charge will be refunded once the customer pays for the cabinets. This charge is to cover the work and time our team spends on design/editing layout.

  1. CHANGES

Cabinets Core will provide up to 3 changes to the layout. This includes, but is not limited to, changing the color of the cabinets, reconfiguring the layout, and changing the size of a cabinet. After 3 changes, Cabinets Core will charge $50 per change for the client.

If a customer would like to make a change after the cabinets are assembled and/or opened, Cabinets Core will charge a 50% restocking fee for cabinets that were changed. Such changes will not include any discounts. If the cabinets are special order, changes cannot be made after the order is placed.

  1. INSTALLATION

Outside Installation:

Cabinets Core does not take any responsibility for improperly installed cabinets (installers outside of Cabinets Core). Our team works diligently to provide detailed measurements and 3D designs to ensure that the installation goes smoothly. However, if adjustments need to be made during the installation process, we expect installers to use the materials we provided to make any necessary changes. This is not always shown on the design and it is your installer’s responsibility to measure the kitchen before installation and make sure everything lines up. The 3D design is meant to show a very close representation of the space, not an exact one. Fillers are provided so that the installer can use them where needed.

Cabinets Core Installation:

If Cabinets Core is installing the cabinets, we are not responsible for any issues that are caused as a result of details that were not communicated to our team. The customer is responsible for all plumbing and electrical work that needs to be done before installation. This includes, but is not limited to, demo, electrical, plumbing and more. We install sinks but not faucets and plumbing drains. This needs to be installed by a plumber. Cabinets Core installers cannot move outlets, connect appliances, or move any other part of the kitchen. This has to be done by a licensed contractor to whom the work pertains to.

If flooring is not yet installed at the time of scheduled installation, Cabinets Core will charge customers an additional 20% of the installation cost to cover the time of the installer who will need to return to finish accessory work after flooring installation. We will also charge extra for any other work we have to complete later due to other aspects of the job not being completed.

If the floor or ceiling is very uneven and we have to do extra work for that, there will be an extra charge.

If our installer arrives at the jobsite and cannot continue work due to details not communicated by customers or improper customer measurements, customers will be charged $150 per hour that the installer spends to make up for the issue.

Cabinets Core recommends that customers do not interfere with installation or remain on site of installation to ensure safety and productivity of installation work. Cabinets Core is not responsible for any damages caused to anyone on site during installation.

  1. CANCELLATION

Once a material order is paid for, any cancellations will be either charged a 50% restocking fee or fully refunded with store credit.

You may cancel a cabinet or countertop installation within 1 week of the installation date. If cancellation is made less than 1 week before installation date, a refund will be made to the customer and we will charge a 15% cancellation fee.

  1. PAST DUE INVOICES

Overdue balances will be subject to a late payment fee of 3% per week, until the owing balance is paid.

  1. OTHER ISSUES

Cabinets Core is not responsible for any issues that are caused as a result of details that were not communicated to our team. We are not responsible for outlets being covered, pipes being in the wrong place, flooring not lining up, unless that was clearly discussed with Cabinets Core (and we are able to find proof of that discussion).

  1. DAMAGES/MISSING PARTS AFTER DELIVERY

If damages are found after delivery and after sign-off is made, please contact us immediately and fill out the claim form. If damage is found to be a manufacturing defect, Cabinets Core will replace it free of charge. If damage cannot be proven as a manufacturing defect, the customer must pay to have the part replaced or fixed. Cabinets Core will not be responsible in such a case.

If there is a missing cabinet, shelf, or other material after delivery and after sign-off is made, please contact us immediately and let us know what is missing.

  1. DISCLAIMER FOR PAINTED WOOD

Hairline Fractures:

The natural process of expansion and contraction in painted wood kitchen cabinets is not new or indigenous to the industry.  Therefore, painted cabinetry, made of solid wood should be expected to “move” during the seasons throughout a year.  Changes in temperature that naturally occur from season to season, humidity, or prolonged moisture will cause “movement” in hardwood products consequently hairline cracks or “separation” may appear becoming visible over the joint areas.  Like the rest in our industry, Cabinets Core does not consider an open joint line in the painted finish a defect or a quality issue that is an issue of warranty.  Wood may expand and contract differently from cabinet to cabinet‐ regardless joints within the same cabinet may behave differently.

Discoloration:

All paints, lighter colors are more visible, are susceptible to discoloration due to airborne particles such as cooking, grilling, tobacco, smoke, fireplaces or candles and UV exposure.  Prolonged exposure to natural or artificial light may alter the finish color, fading of darker colors will occur in direct sunlight or overexposure to UV light.  Moisture may also discolor the finish and its ability to protect subsurface hardwoods.

Cabinets Core will not be held responsible for any of the above naturally occurring processes. The client agrees to this.

  1. DISCLAIMER FOR COUNTERTOP

Backsplash behind the range is prone to discoloration due to temperature changes.

  1. FLAT BOX CABINETS

When customers receive unassembled (flat box) cabinets from Cabinets Core, it is important to note that Cabinets Core is not responsible for any structural issues that may arise with the cabinets after delivery. Additionally, any damages must be reported to Cabinets Core immediately at the time of pickup to ensure eligibility for replacement.

  1. WARRANTY

All warranties come from the manufacturer.

  1. SIGN-OFF

When delivery or pick-up of material is made, customers will sign off on the invoice slip. This indicates that the customer approves the quantity and quality of the materials. After sign off is made, Cabinets Core will not take responsibility for any damaged or missing materials.

  1. QUOTE VALIDITY

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of quote creation.
